UCiC Early Learning Program
We are nestled in a quiet Bothell, WA neighborhood right off of I-405 and have been taking care and teaching babies through pre-K since 2001.
Why join the UCiC in Bothell, WA?
Safe and clean spaces
We prioritize healthy habits, safety, and fun learning. We meet state requirements and best practices, ensuring our center is cleaned from top to bottom, including the tiniest toys. Our social-emotional curriculum teaches children to protect themselves and others, fostering mutual respect and holistic learning.
Christ-like character development
UCIC is a faith-based school where children learn through actions. Our teachers joyfully share God's love, teaching children about the world He created and the good news that Jesus wants to be their best friend forever. At UCIC, we emphasize Love, Forgiveness, and Grace. We invite parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles to join us for weekly worship during chapel time.
Early start to P.E.
Health and Physical Education are vital to early learning. Our children receive daily exercise and fresh air to develop their bodies and minds. Social and emotional health is boosted through playground time and games. Learning to breathe, calm themselves, and manage their actions are key benefits of PE.
Compassionate staff
Our dedicated staff love our children and come to work with joy every day. At UCIC, we have an exceptionally low turnover rate. Teachers extend their care beyond the classroom and pray for our students daily. We meet regularly with parents to provide reassurance and build strong partnerships. We support our students through all times, and our teachers share the love of Jesus every day.
Big on fine arts
We integrate fine arts into all aspects of our education. Music is introduced to infants and waddlers right away, becoming a key part of their classroom experience. Art is also a part of our infant/waddler program. Specialists visit the classrooms about once a month, and the rest of our program visits the art and music rooms weekly. Children showcase their musical skills in two programs per year and display their artwork for parents to enjoy throughout the year.
We keep parents informed
We understand parents want to know what their children are doing beyond eating, sleeping, and bathroom duties. They want to know about their kid's friendships, what they’re learning, and how they’re using that knowledge. Our teachers take hundreds of photos each year and share them through the Class Dojo app, which is also perfect for sending important notifications and updates about daily life at UCIC.

Nurtured Heart Approach
At UCiC Early Learning, we believe the early years are the foundation for a lifetime of learning, confidence, and meaningful relationships.
Our educators bring the Nurtured Heart Approach to life through three simple yet powerful principles that guide every interaction.
Absolute Yes
We intentionally recognize and celebrate positive choices, no matter how big or small. Whether a child shares with a friend, demonstrates perseverance during a challenge, follows directions, or simply shows kindness, we acknowledge those moments with genuine enthusiasm. By shining a light on success, we help children build confidence, strengthen positive behaviors, and develop a healthy sense of self-worth.
Absolute No
Children thrive when expectations are clear and consistent. When behavior becomes unsafe or inappropriate, our educators respond calmly, respectfully, and without shame. We set firm boundaries while focusing on the behavior—not the child—helping children learn responsibility, accountability, and appropriate decision-making in a supportive environment.
Absolute Clear
Every moment is a fresh start. After a challenging situation has been addressed, we intentionally reconnect with the child, letting go of the previous behavior and welcoming them back with encouragement and belief in their ability to succeed. This teaches children that mistakes do not define them and that every day offers new opportunities to grow, learn, and make positive choices.
